A box Climate Model: EPcmEnvironmental Physics 2009-2010 Model documentation –v4 (February 2010) The following is a simple Two-Box Climate model, designed for pedagogical purposes. It aims at predicting the time dependent response of Tropical and Extra-Tropical surface temperatures to a given time-dependent change in atmospheric greenhouse gas concentration. The model includes a representation of atmospheric and oceanic heat transport and storage, and a single positive feedback: the water vapour feedback. The model is coded with MATLAB
作者、英国帝国理工学院的Arnaud Czaja称:I am working on Atmosphere-Ocean interactions and the basic physics of oceanic and atmospheric circulations. I enjoy developing simple theoretical models and use them as guides for the analysis of observational records and outputs from coupled climate models simulations.
Two-Box Climate Model
Getting started with MATLAB(使用方法) 1- Create a directory (hereafter called DIR) where you want to store MATLAB programs and data
2- Double - click on the MATLAB icon
3- Change the path on the MATLAB window to DIR
4- You are now ready to play with a simple MATLAB taster. The associated MATLAB file ASR_OLR_basic.m can be found here.
1- Copy the directory EPcm into DIR 2- Set your MATLAB path to EPcm. 3- You are ready to go! 4- To run the model, type"TwoBox_Main" in the MATLAB window... 5- See the Model documentation above formore infos.
