不能open ctl文件

Ubuntu下  open ctl文件时报错：
Scanning description file:201401.ctl
Open Error:Data file type invalid
     The invalid description file record is:
     dtype grib2
    the data file was not opened.   

grib2文件是从http://rda.ucar.edu/datasets/ds094.0/ 这儿下的flexpart-forecast格式的。  
求指点。
