波作用通量垂直分量乘以100的原因

我的文章中用到了波作用通量wave activity flux的三维计算公式，在处理数据的时候垂直方向的分量乘以了100.，为了便于与水平分量处于同一量级。但是，审稿人对此提出了质疑，"...multiplied by 100..." Is the 100arbitrary? It should depend on the stretched vertical coordinate used in theplot. Also, the vertical scaling of the latitude-heightsections should be given in the figure caption.请大家帮忙看看这是什么意思呀？乘以100不是常规操作吗，还有后面的垂直比例是啥意思呢？
