ERA-Int数据中Synoptic monthly means指的是什么意思

ERA-Int数据中的月数据有两种，分别是Synoptic monthly means和Monthly means of daily means。Monthly means of daily means我能看懂指的是月内所有时间数据的平均，那么Synoptic monthly means是指的什么呢？（数据说明看不懂呀）
数据说明如下：

For the ERA-Interim Data Server it is planned to include the monthly means of daily forecast accumulations (for step 12) under the section entitled "Monthly means of daily means". However, this has not yet been implemented. In the meantime, you can calculate the monthly means of daily forecast accumulations (for step 12) by adding together the synoptic monthly means at time 00, step 12 and time 12, step 12.

谢谢你，这个回帖内容我也看到了
我按照其说的‘adding together the synoptic monthly means at time 00, step 12 and time 12, step 12’做了一个区域的降水月值，发现结果量级很小，平均下来比TRMM的数据偏小十几倍···
我估计可能是还要乘月天数吧，这样的话在我算的哪个区域era降水值比TRMM偏大一倍。

区域在青藏高原，实测降水站点较少，前人对比的结果是trmm比较靠谱；
我觉得这样计算出来的的数据乘月天数比较靠谱，虽然偏大近一倍
